Obituary of Ona Bridgen

BRIDGEN, Ona Ruth (nee Buck)

Peacefully with her family by her side at the Providence Care Hospital on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, in her 95th year.  Ona, beloved wife of the late George.  Loving mom of daughters Faye Hoadley (the late Brent) and Florine Pennell (Ken) and sons George (Karen) and Clifford (Laurie).  Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and their families.  Ona was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter, #146.  A heartfelt thank you is extended to the caregivers at Helen Henderson, the Kingston General Hospital and the Providence Care Hospital for the wonderful care that was given to Ona.  Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 12:00 -1:15 pm, followed by the service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.  Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.  A reception will follow the committal service in the James Reid Funeral Home, Reception and Celebration Centre.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern ON at KGH) in Ona’s memory.
