Dear Alison, Robin, & Johnathan------
I was so sorry to read of your mothers passing , and I want to send you my deepest sympathy . I feel very sad as I reminisce about all the wonderful times we had together .
I remember your Mothers talents in her kitchen and how she often came to my door with her marvelous baking to share with us . Likewise was her talent at the sewing machine as we both made clothes for our families . I shared with her the love of Nature and Bird watching at our busy feeders .Both your parents excelled in gardening and your garden showed the love and devotion of true English gardeners . I will always remember the pink Oleander tree that was at your front door in summer and your living room all winter .
One memory that I , and Pat , Allan & Mark still talk about is the Love affair between our much loved cats --- Blackie & Deidre .
Every day after breakfast , Blackie would head out the front door and to the curb , looking both ways for cars ,and then cross the street and walk up to Wheelers , where he had his own dish in the kitchen . After your Mother greeted him with a morsal in his dish , he would go upstairs to find Deidre and spend the morning in bed with her . If we couldnt find Blackie we would phone you Mother and she would send him home . I still have a photo your Dad took of Blackie with a pointed hat on .
I just celebrated my 90th birthday .Iam still in the Barriefield Condo where Doug & i moved from Richardson Drive . I cant walk very well without a cane or Walker and cant stand for any length of time but am otherwise in good health and Iam still driving .
A lot of memories of long ago have faded away , but I will never forget your family and your Dear Mother ----- my friend Shirley
Sincere Sympathy from Lois Tryon
