Peacefully at Trillium Ridge Long Term Care on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 in her 89th year. Loving wife of Robert C. Wheeler (2010) for 60 years. Mother of Alison, Robin (Jill Keeling) and Jonathan. Predeceased by a daughter Lesley in 1998. Grandmother to Robert (Charyty) of Cold Lake, Alberta, Scott, Robin and Timothy (1977), Christine of Whitby, On and James of Kingston. Great Grandmother to Korbin of Cold Lake, Sterling, Scarlett, Jackson and Braeden. Shirley will be greatly missed by her sister Bev (Bill Trim) of Oshawa and several nieces and nephews. Thank you to all the staff at Trillium Ridge for the great care over the 4 years while Shirley was a resident there. Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 5th, 2018 at 11 am. at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. Visitation from 10 am. Interment at Port Hope, ON at a later date.
