Obituary of Linda Whitmore
Whitmore; Linda Ann (nee Snook) - Passed away suddenly with family by her side at Kingston Health Sciences Centre on Monday, September 26, 2022 at the age of 78. Linda is predeceased by her parents Merrill and Dorothy Snook (nee Trudell) and infant brother Roger. She is the beloved wife to Mike Whitmore of over 40 years and the adoring mother to Martin Stover and Robert Stover (Terry). Linda was extremely close with her sons and will leave a giant hole in their hearts. She will be missed by her grandchildren Kylie Treier (Sean), Craig Stover (Nikki) and Tye Stover and her great-granddaughters Kensington, Addison and Emerson. Linda will forever be in the hearts of her cousins and missed dearly by her life-long friends Linda and Barb.
Linda was also a lover of cats. If she found a stray, she brought it home, much to the chagrin of her family and gave it a loving home.
A large portion of Linda’s life was dedicated to educating in the Kingston Area. She had the privilege of working with many young minds throughout her career and she cherished every moment of it. Linda was the epitome of being in the right career for the right reasons.
The family will be accepting visitors at James Reid Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm and then again on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 1:00 - 1:50 pm with a service in the Chapel to follow at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Memorial donations are welcomed to the Diabetes Association or Charity of Choice in Linda’s honour.
