Obituary of Daniel Douglas Maxwell
Maxwell, Daniel Douglas “Max” – Passed away suddenly on his 59th birthday at his home in Kingston on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He will be dearly missed by his common-law wife of 8 years, Patti Brown. Proud father of Bradley of Edmonton and Danielle “Danni” (Tyler) of Kingston. Lovingly remembered by his brother Brian of Edmonton, sisters Colleen of Cape Breton, Trish of Cape Breton, Lynda of Edmonton and the late Darlene of Cape Breton. Max was born in Sidney Mines, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia to parents Elaine Tobin and the late Daniel, both of Cape Breton. Max is survived by his many friends and extended family.
Max was a lover of all sports and a lifelong Philadelphia Flyers fan. He grew up watching their rough and tumble style of play in their heyday in the 1970’s. Max was always the life of the party. He loved being the DJ and enjoyed karaoke, to the point that he ran his own business on the side. He loved his fur babies Charlie and Bandit – they are going to miss their poppa tremendously.
Max was captain of the Cockadoodle Cues pool team and was perfect doing the Rooster Call after a sewer shot. He was very proud of his Cape Breton heritage and never forgot his roots. His family will be laying him to rest back home at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
