Obituary of Carol Ann Armstrong
Carol Ann Armstrong, 56, of Kingston passed away, December 27th, 2021, after a two-year battle with ovarian cancer surrounded by her daughters.
Carol is survived by her mother Eleanor Schaub and her two daughters: Amanda (Adam Schuessler) of Cambridge and Rebecca of Nanaimo and her boyfriend Josef Dudli. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, whom she loved dearly, Teagan and Heidi Schuessler.
Carol’s many friends and loved ones knew her as an artist who loved to paint, crochet, and spend time outdoors. She was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family and friends first. Those who knew Carol knew that her strength, resiliency, and kindness had no limits.
Carol’s creativity led her to work at Olan Mills, a job she loved, where she used her talents to alter and touch up photographs by hand. She went on to work at a variety of places, each time making lifelong friends in the process, until eventually settling on her career as a postal worker for Canada Post. She loved her work and getting to know the people she delivered mail for, who will miss her greatly.
Carol could often be found cycling, hiking, and exploring trails and nature. She loved animals, especially her two bunnies Gizmo and Cola. Her favourite thing to do was spending time with her granddaughters, Teagan and Heidi.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at James Reid Funeral Home. Due to covid restrictions, space is limited and you must RSVP by calling 613-544-3411. Proof of double vaccination and ID will be required to enter the building.
