To a lady who was caring, loving, and beautiful always. Grandma, you will always be an inspiration of what it means to be a great woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmom. I could never thank you and grandpa enough for raising a great son who I have the privilege of calling dad. And for treating my mom like your daughter who shares your love onto a family of her own. You and grandpa, together, raised our parents into strong role models all the Tierney kids look up to. So thank you for being relentlessly amazing, every day.
Families and friends are heartbroken to see you gone but happy to know you've found your happiness and peace. I will never forget all our Tierney family trips to cottages and all the sleepovers we had. I will forever hold close to my heart the memories and photos of you and grandpa at mine and Eric's wedding. I hope you know it meant the world to me for you to be there.
I think back to when the Tierney kids would come visit you, grandpa and Aunt Kathy, Uncle John, Tara and Amy. I remember Caitlin, Shannon, Tara, Amy and myself walked to the Jumbo Videos a few blocks away. As we were heading back to the house , around the corner was you walking down the street with no shoes on coming to find us!!! To this day, I'm still not sure why but I love that memory and think of it often!
Also, at your 60th wedding anniversary gathering, you and I sat together with grandpa and both shared memories of going to school, places you lived, stories of dad growing up, and the work you did at the hospital. You had no doubt in your mind of the things I was capable of becoming. Always supportive of all the kids' dreams for the future.
To a wonderful woman who gave her full heart to everyone she met. May you rest in peace, grandma. Everyone loves you so much and can't wait to see you again one day.
Love always, the Tierney family (and the half-bloods!!)
