I met Mrs. Barb MacNaughton at an art show at St. Georges Cathedral. She was seated comfortably with a shawl around her shoulders near her artwork. I told her I liked her art. It was a work with someone walking towards a golden light away from the viewer. She thanked me, and I said "Are you the Mother of the ear doctor?" Mrs.MacNaughton answered "Yes". I said "You raised a good son". She said "thank-you, I think so too!"

Dear Don, Jane & family I am so very sorry for your loss. "Mrs. Barb" as she was known in our family, wife and forever partner of our dear "Dr. Don", was such a warm and wonderful lifetime friend to our family. I have such clear memories of Barb and Angus guiding the office, transporting me from school to my Nanny's house via Camaro, the endless meals that arrived at the door in support of our parent's care, and most especially Barb's hand maid notes throughout the year reminding me of her memories, and the funny family moments to help ease our grief when another one disappeared from the table. Please know that I am thinking of you, sending hugs and kind thoughts as we all remember and pay tribute to one of the best ever. Sincerely, Anne

Dear Don Michael, Jane, and family: I am sorry for your loss, and I continue to pray for you. My brother Donald Clifford and I had an aboriginal artist friend on the Rama reserve when we were growing up in Orillia. He said to us in part that when a much-loved Mother dies, she becomes one's aura. God bless you all.
