LAPPAN, Robert Sr.
Robert Lappan Sr. passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in his 80th year. Robert Sr. was the owner/founder of Robert J. Lappan Excavating, providing services to Kingston and the surrounding area for 63 years. Bob, loving father, from former marriage to Jean Lappan, of Robert Lappan Jr. (Joanne Rogers) and Angela Lappan (Mark Daley). Proud grandpa of Taylor, Sydney and Skylar Lappan and Brooke Rogers (Joanne’s daughter), and great grandpa of Nathan Lappan. Bob was predeceased by his parents William and Pearl (Fuller). Cherished brother of Howard (Betty), Lawrence, Clifford (Barbara), Richard (Sandra), and Bonnie Hatch (the late Calvin) and is predeceased by sisters Velma Batten (the late Bill), Shirley Morgenroth (Ross), Della Weeds (Harry), and brothers William J. (the late Joan) and Clarence (Joan). He will be lovingly remembered by Margaret LeHeup and sadly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was the Past Master of the Masonic Leeds Lodge No 201, Gananoque and the Past President of the Tunis Shrine, 1000 Island Shrine Club. Bob’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm and on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 10:00 – 10:45 am, followed by a service celebrating his life in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. All members of the Masonic Leeds Lodge No 201 are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 6:40 pm on Wednesday the 16th for a Masonic Service at 6:45 pm, all brother lodges are welcome. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or to the U.H.K.F. (Renal Unit at KGH or The Cancer Center of SE ON at KGH).
