Alicia Darling

Obituary of Alicia Ann Darling

Darling, Alicia Ann

1984-2019

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Alicia Darling.

Alicia will be missed dearly by her husband Dermot Doyle, of Sydney Australia, her parents Lidia and Michael Darling, Grandma Jessica Ilcszyszyn, all of Calgary, and brother, Robert (Corrine), of Kingston.

Alicia was the brightest star in our lives. A passionate performer, she delighted international audiences as a professional dancer and singer who lit up the room with her laughter and brilliant smile. Alicia was intelligent, kind, driven and disciplined. She held her friendships in the highest regard, guarding and protecting those she loved with fierce loyalty.

The service will be held at the James Reid Funeral Home in Kingston, Ontario on Tuesday January 15th, 2019 at 12:30pm. There will be a visitation prior to the service beginning at 11am until 12:15pm.

Guests are welcome to join us following the service at the Merchant Tap House, downtown Kingston at 2:00pm for a toast and to remember the wonderful memories that will live forever in our hearts.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all of the friends, family, cast and crew who have reached out, rallied and helped them get through this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributing to Canada’s National Ballet School’s Sharing Dance Program which engages young children and patients of Parkinson’s and Dementia in dance.  https://www.nbs-enb.ca/Support-sharing-dance
