Obituary of Donald James Cox

COX, Donald James-
Entered into rest peacefully at Kingston General Hospital, on Friday, November 9, 2018, one day before celebrating his 92nd birthday.  Beloved husband of Yvette Payne Cox for 8 years.  Loving father of Nancy Kelsey (Mitch) of Kingston and David J. Cox (Diana) of British Columbia.  Affectionately known as "Grandpa" to his grandchildren Ryan Cox (Sam), Daniel Kelsey (Alana), Colleen Kelsey (Allan Lewis), Andrew Cox and John Kelsey (Kelsey McIvor).  Great-grandfather to Rosie Lewis, Emma and Nora Kelsey and Felix Lewis.  Don will be missed by Yvette's daughters Bonnie Dawn Hasseltine of Kingston and Gillian Price (David) of Maitland, and their families. Dear brother of Sylvia Caiger (Des) of Kingston.  Missed by many nieces and nephews.  Don is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary Cox (Murphy), his parents Harold Cox and Ida Jackson, brothers William and Norman Cox, sisters Grace Gobeil and June Alarie.  Don was the owner of Donald J. Cox Bookkeeping for over 30 years.  He also served on the Board of St. Mary's Cemetery for over 40 years.  Special thanks to all the staff of KGH (Connell 10) for all their kindness and support.  Resting at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Tuesday, November 13, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 392 Palace Road, on Wednesday, November 14 at 11:00 am. Monsignor J. Lynch officiating. Rite of Committal with Prayers at St. Mary's Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or U.H.K.F. (KGH), in Mr. Cox's memory.
