1939-2018
Passed away peacefully at Trillium Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, October 16. Beloved husband of Jeannette Sorel and the late Beatrice Ascough. Loving father of Richard (Mary-Lynne), Graham (Patty), and Peter (Irene). Proud grandad of Hannah, Josiah, Jonathan, Andrew, Christopher, Reuben, and Joy. Mike will also be remembered with fondness by members of the extended family in England and the Sorel family, especially Jodi (Trevor), Sandra (Rick), and Dan. The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff at Trillium for their exemplary care and compassion over the last few years of Mike's life. Family and friends will be received at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Sunday, October 21, from 2:00 until 2:50 pm. Service to follow in the Chapel at 3:00 pm with a reception afterwards. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's Canada would be appreciated by Mike's family.
