Michael and Patricia.....a relative from the past. I'm a Nesbitt...twice removed. My dad's mother (Teressa) was Jay Nesbitt's daughter and I believe that Harvey Nesbitt was a brother to Jay who lived in Winchester.
I remember your mom and dad when I was just a kid visiting great grandmother Desdemona (Jay's wife) in Winchester. I always remembered the name "Huck" ...so different.
I also remember your mom and dad and my parents in Smiths Falls at Uncle Harvey's house. I had a small peddle car that I "drove" along the sidewalk in front of the house. So long ago.
Looks like some of the family tree is still within the "Ottawa" area vicinity.
Although you are quite a bit younger than myself and my brother Jim, that may be why I don't remember ever seeing you.
Anyway, I'm always reading the newspaper and I did notice this announcement and naturally I remembered Huck and Jean.
My deepest sympathies are with you at this sad time; we only get one mother and one father. Our parents died in 2005 and 2007 dad and then mom. They were both 89 years old so Jean certainly beat them both.
Coincidentally, I was just in Winchester on Thursday of this week and made a point of looking at the old Nesbitt home on Church Street; it has not changed one bit. Nothing has been done to the more than 100 year old house. It brought back many memories for me and my husband took 4 photos of the house.
From what I remember, my dad (Allyn) and mom (Gladys) were very very fond of both your parents. I believe they did keep in contact for several years.
My prayers are with you both and your families....God bless.
