Obituary of Barbara Frances Thomas

Barbara died peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital following recent and debilitating fall. She is the beloved sister of Roberta Ann Rodgers (Bobbie).  She was predeceased by her parents, Frances and Bud Thomas and sister, Joan Leslie Thomas.  Survived by nieces, Leslie Gray and Kim Alexander.  Barbara always looked forward to and enjoyed the annual Kingston Fall Fair as well as Nadia Luciuk and her performances with the Ukrainian Folklore Festival.  Family and friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Thursday, September 6 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm.  Funeral service at CROSSROADS UNITED CHURCH, 690 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, on Friday, September 7 at 11:00 am.  Reverend Judith Evenden officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to service and during a reception at the conclusion of the service.  Interment at Henderson Cemetery.  In recognition of Barbara's fondness for dogs and the Trefoil Guild, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society or Girl Guides of Canada (for the Kingston Trefoil Guild Scholarship).
