Passed in peace Friday, August 24, 2018 at the age of 95.  Predeceased by his wife of 48 years, June (Donges) and his loving partner and companion Arlene Thomson.  Also predeceased by his sister, Ivy Holloway.  Loving father of David (Marilyn) and Steven (Shelley).  Proud grandpa of Brent (Gwen), Adam, Michael (Kerry), Michelle, Ashley (Andrew) and Josh.  Great grandfather of 8. Roy served his country during the Second World War as a gunnery and bombing instructor.  He was a long time resident of Kingston and was actively involved in his community. He will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humour and the kindness he showed all.  Funeral to take place Thursday, August 30 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston.  There will be a visitation from 12-12:45 pm and a reception following the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy’s memory may be made to Kingston Hospice and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
