Clarice Gwendolyn Dort (Lewis) - A loving lady known by all as “Nan”, passed away peacefully at Kingston Health & Science center on June 26th, 2018 at the young age of 90. She was born to late Clarence Ashburn Lewis and Eva Melinda Lewis on September 27th, 1927.
She was the wife of the late Foster Gordon Dort of 72 years of marriage. She was the mother of sons Stephen Foster (Norma), David Lewis (Laura), Timothy Clare (Hilda) and beloved daughter Melinda Elaine Joyce (deceased) and Heather Anne (Kevin). She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren Colleen Dort, Patricia Dort, Carrie MacDonald, Phillip Dort, Julie Doyle, Jessica Dort, Brandon Dort, Sandi Fitzpatrick, Nicholas Fitzpatrick, Kayla Fitzpatrick and 18 great-grandchildren.
Clarice spent a lifetime caring for family and friends. She loved to bake sweets and always enjoyed a hot cup of tea whenever possible. She enjoyed making homemade crafts, attending Sunday church and dancing the evening away in the kitchen with family. She was the person if anyone ever called asking for anything she would reply with “give me a minute let me go run the comb through my hair and put some lipstick on”. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cremation has taken place at the James Reid Crematorium. Church Services will be held in Half Way Cove, NS at St. James Anglican Church, burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Guysborough, Nova Scotia on Wednesday July 4th, 2018 at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
