It is with sadness that we announce the passing of The Rev. Dr. Millard Kent Schumaker on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 with his family by his side at the Waterford after a battle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann (nee McKnight). Survived by his children Robin (Judy), Alix (Ross), Albert (Melanie), Kate (Tim) and grandchildren Matthew, Carol, Katie, Andrew, Keiran and Teagan, Liam, Ciara and his brother Ward.  Predeceased by his parents Viola and Lester Schumaker, brothers Rand and Roger. Millard’s family would like to thank the Staff at the Waterford and team from St. Elizabeth, Drs Kain and Luka, and all the Palliative Care Team. In keeping with Millard’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held with The Venerable Michael Caswell officiating. A memorial Service will be held at Chalmers United Church, 212 Barrie St. on Tuesday, June 26 at 2 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Chalmers United Church (for Martha's Table) would be appreciated by the family.
