Obituary of Sandra Jean Nickerson

NICKERSON, Sandra Jean (nee Gallant)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sandra Nickerson, age 71, announces her passing on June 15, 2018, at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, after a long battle with cancer. Sandra will forever be remembered by her husband of 50 years, Arthur and her children, Kevin (Pauline) and Sherry (Adrian). Sandra will also be fondly remembered by her four grandchildren, Alysha, Emily, Tyler and Brandon, her sister Claudia and brothers Gordon, Ronald, Wilfred and Michael. She is predeceased by her parents, Alyre and Rosaline Gallant and two brothers, Robert and Stephen. Sandra was a charitable woman, friend to her community and was loved and cherished by all of her family and friends and will be forever in our hearts.  Sandra’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the KGH Cancer Clinic and Oncology Unit as well as the staff of Providence care Hospital for their loving care and compassion.  Sandra’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 1-2:50 pm, followed by an Odd Fellows Service, Cataraqui Granite #10 at 3:00 pm.  A liturgy of the word service will be held in the chapel immediately following the Odd Fellows Service.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Sandra’s memory.
