1949-2018

Melena quietly left us to reside with God. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer. Predeceased by her mother Melena Davis, father Fred Coates and step-father Donald Davis. Survived by step-mother Marjorie Coates. Beloved sister of Donna Mountenay (Barry), and Donald Davis. Predeceased by siblings Aaron, Joseph, Alice, Dianne, Maggie and JoAnne. She will be loved and remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a visitation held at the James Reid Funeral Home on Friday June 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. There will be a visitation on Saturday June 2, 2018 in the James Reid Chapel from 10-10:45am followed by a funeral service at 11am.

The family of Melena have asked for donations be made to the Autism Ontario (Kingston Chapter) or the Salvation Army in her memory.
