Frederick O'Hara, in his 84th year, died suddenly at the Waterford Retirement Residence in Kingston, on Saturday, May 19, 2018.  Beloved husband of Lois Davis (Love) for the past 23 years, and predeceased by Dora Cyr (1992) from a previous marriage. Cherished father of Marlene of Terrace Bay, Michael (Karen) of Trenton and Irene of Bowmanville.  Loving grandfather of Danielle (Sonja), Brandon and Sean (Stephanie).  Predeceased by sisters Isabel and Bernice and survived by twin brothers, Donald and Paul. Fred was born and raised in Montreal.  He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 39 years and has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 56 years.  As well as postings across Canada (Montreal, Valcartier, Shilo & Trenton), he served in Cyprus and Alert Station in the Arctic.  Fred married Lois in 1995 and enjoyed retirement life spending winters in Florida and Texas, camping and travelling throughout Canada, the US, Europe and South America.  Memorial Service in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, on Wednesday, May 30 at 11am, with Rev. Dr. Wayne Soble officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until 10:50 am, and during a reception immediately following the service.  A private interment ceremony will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Martha's Table or to a charity of your choice, in Mr. O'Hara's memory.
