Obituary of Violet Ruth Banks

BANKS, Violet Ruth (nee Peters)

October 26, 1932 – May 18, 2018

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Violet Banks in her 86th year.  On Friday, May 18, 2018 peacefully at home.  Violet is predeceased by her parents Earl and Ruth and husband Lanson.  Sister to Gayel (Willard) and Wayne (Ellen).  Violet leaves behind son Dale (Nancy), daughter Linda (Dan), son Earl in Vancouver and son Jim (Rachel), 11 grandchildren; Wesley, Matthew, Emily, Lydia, Danielle, Steven, Christopher, Evan, Logan, Riley, Mackensie, one great grandchild Lily Anna and many nieces and nephews.  A thank you to Val her housekeeper and the PSW's from Saint Elizabeth and the Palliative care team.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11:00 am followed by the interment at Sandhill Cemetery in Battersea.  A reception will be held following the interment at the Battersea United Church Hall.  For those who wish donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada for Dementia Research in Violet’s memory.
