Wilson, John Allan

1956-2018

John passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 5th 2018 at Providence Care Hospital. John will be missed dearly by his beloved wife Carolanne of 34 years and his two children Joe (Melissa), and Megan (Brad) Mallen. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Porter and Wade. John was the brother-in-law to Bonny (Rick). John will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends, and his four legged buddy Brady.  Predeceased by his parents Ida May and Joseph Wilson, and his three sisters Joan (Stan), Joyce (Rudy) and Karen (Glen).

John was an avid Leafs fan. He was a big supporter of charities and organizations throughout his life and within his community. John will always be remembered by countless people for his amazing personality, sense of humour, awesome jokes and the way he played with everyone’s children like they were his own.

The Wilson family would like to thank the renal unit for their continuous care over the years and all the staff at KGH for their support over the past few months.

There will be visitation from 7-9pm on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at the James Reid Funeral Home on John Counter Blvd. Family and friends are welcome to support John’s love for hockey by wearing their favourite team jersey to the visitation and funeral. There will be a visitation from 10-10:45am at the James Reid Funeral Home followed by a chapel service at 11am on Wednesday May 9th, 2018. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception to follow directly after the service. Cremation will follow after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Diabetes Canada.
