Obituary of D. William "Bill" Kay

D. William (Bill) Kay, peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Trillium Community Care in Kingston, Ontario. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Moore), cherished father of Sandra (Andrea), Elizabeth (Marten Devries), and Heather (John Penner), proud grandfather of Eva and James Devries and devoted cuddler of Molson, Marlo and Muffin. Predeceased by his son Paul. He will be missed by many friends and family especially his sister-in-law Beth Klug (Phil) and brother-in-law John Moore (Lori), and nieces Stephanie, Sarah and Katie. Bill was a respected and skilled educator both as teacher and labour negotiator for 40 years, an enthusiastic sports fan and will be remembered for his generosity and sense of humour. We will laugh with the memories.  Bill's family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 2-4 pm and on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 1-1:50 pm, with a celebration of his life to commence at 2:00 pm in the chapel. A reception will follow the service in the James Reid Funeral Home Reception and Celebration Centre.  For those who wish, donations may be made to Trillium Community Care or to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in Bill's memory.
