It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Beverly on Friday November 17, 2017. Bev will be dearly missed by Husband Gary of 39 years, and her children Krista (Wade Hanna), Geoff and Scott. Grandmother to Cara Marie June Hanna and daughter to Joan Lappan and the late Zeke (Clarence) Lappan. Bev was a Registered Nurse for 33 years at Kingston General Hospital working in the ICU. She loved spending time at the family cottage, in Myrtle Beach and numerous hours with her adored granddaughter Cara. Bev loved her dogs like she loved her kids; Chu Chu, Tippy and Yogi.
Bev was a sister to Ruth, Diane and Doug. Sister in law to Wayne (Linda) and Janis (Dave). She will be remembered by her four nephews; Trent, Justin, Cole and Brent. Predeceased by sister in law Susan Greenlees (Gary), nephew Adam Thompson and Parents in law Gerry and Hilda Thompson. Bev will be loved and missed by so many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A visitation to honour Bev’s life will take place at the James Reid Funeral Home on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 1-3pm and again from 6-8pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday November 22, 2017 from 10am until 10:45am followed by a chapel service at 11am and with a reception to follow. A special thanks to Dr. Chris Booth, Dr. Paco Vera-Badillo, Dr. Heather Ostic and Nurse Tammy for helping Bev live for nearly 9 years with Kidney Cancer. Also thanks to Ruthie, Mary McCaffrey and Bev Tooley. Bev's family is also thankful to Dr. Hasitha Welihinda.
In lieu of flowers, the Thompson family have asked for donations in Bev’s memory to be made to the Cancer Research of Dr. Christopher Booth (Queen’s University) or the Kingston Humane Society.
