Obituary of Gail Jacqueline Brierley
BRIERLEY, Gail Jacqueline-
Passed away surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, August 18, 2017. Gail (nee Smith), age 64 years, beloved wife of Al Brierley for 43 years. Dear mother of Lisa Moore (Darren) of Bath, Jeff Brierley (Jayme) of Ottawa and Jennifer Brierley of Kingston. Affectionately known as "Nanny" to her adoring grandchildren, Camryn, Seth, Laila and Alyssa. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Janet Smith and sister, Wanda Smith. Remembered by her sister, Bonnie Korres and brother, Mike Smith (Terry). Gail will be missed by furry companions "Ruby" and "Poppy"! Gail was a dedicated worker at Bell Canada and K.F.L & A Public Health. She will be missed by many friends and colleagues. The family extends sincere gratitude to Gail's oncologists, Dr. A. Tomiak, Dr. H. Ostic, palliative care physicians, Dr. N. Kondor, Dr. A. Flanagan, as well as the entire health care team at St. Elizabeth Health Care and Providence Care Hospital. In accordance with Gail's wishes, cremation will be immediate. A Memorial Reception will be held in the JAMES REID RECEPTION AND CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Boulevard (Please enter building from rear parking lot), 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Tuesday, August 22 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) in Gail's memory.
