Obituary of William Gillespie

GILLESPIE, William "Bill" At his home, following a prolonged illness, on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Bill Gillespie, age 73 years, beloved husband of Margaret (nee Rose), for 30 years. Father of Jo-Anne and Robert, and grandfather of Chelsea. Survived by his sister Joan Walker and husband Clayton (deceased). Fondly remembered by nephew James and nieces Cathy and Judy. Predeceased by great-nephew Will. Also sadly missed by Bill and Margaret`s extended family. Also remembering Mitsy his beloved Daschund. Bill, a life-long resident of Kingston, was an avid bowler and when in good health he very much enjoyed camping, travelling and gardening. Cremation arrangements in the care of James Reid Crematorium. A graveside service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, April 20 at 2:00 pm., followed by a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre. For those wishing to attend the graveside service, please gather at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard by 1:30 pm for the procession to the cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Parkinson Society Canada in Mr. Gillespie`s memory.
