Obituary of Peter Steinfort

STEINFORT, Peter - 1925-2017 After a long and fulfilling life, surrounded by family, Peter passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Loving and devoted husband of 64 years to Ruth (Henderson). He will be deeply missed by children, Bonnie, Anne (late Ken Revell), Martin (Elaine), Michael and William (Penny). Cherished Grandpa to his four grandchildren, Nikki (Joel), Leanne (Joel), Peter (Jen) and Michelle (Josh McLachlin). Great Grandpa to nine. Son of the late Marten and Geertje Steinfort of The Netherlands. Brother to Bill (Eileen) and the late Griet (late Jan) Keyser. Brother in-law to Murray Henderson (late Patricia) and the late Gladys Wilson (late Floyd). Peter will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Peter was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was a hard-working man, loved his farm, talking to people wherever he went, Sunday drives and most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will forever be loved and missed. In accordance with Peter's wishes a private family gathering will be held at a later date. For those who wish, donations in his memory may be made to the War Amps.
