Obituary of Kathleen Dooley
Dooley, Kathleen
We are sad to announce the passing of our wonderful mother. Kathleen passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, March 16th 2017 in her 89th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry, and daughter of the late James and Ellen Parker. She leaves behind her four daughters Maureen (Jeff), Kathleen (John), Barbara (Bryan) and Janet (George). Kathleen was so very proud of her nine grandchildren, Ryan (Christina), Kent (Amy), Christopher (Maria), Kelly (Aaron), Steven (Kyra), Paula (Mark), Lindsay (Darla), Kaitlyn (Nick), and Paige (Ryley). She also loved and enjoyed the company of her great grandchildren, Sarina, Kaya, Braiden, Parker, Linton, Sophie, Lola, Dax, Vanna, Spencer, Carter, Alexa, and Phin. She will also be missed by her niece Carole (Roger), their children Ian, John and families.
Kathleen was born in Liverpool, England in 1928. She married the love of her life Harry in 1946 and never looked back. She and Harry loved nothing more than spending time with their four daughters, from Sunday night dinners to family holiday's in Bournmouth England. When Kathleen joined her daughters in Canada in 1975, family remained her top priority. Whether it was celebrating a birthday, summer vacations with a daughter, or Thanksgiving Turkey Trots, she cherished every moment with her loved ones. Kathleen had a special way of making everybody she touched feel like they were her favourite.
The family would like to thank Dr. Katrina Stevens for her excellent care and tenderness over many years. A Celebration of Kathleen's Life will be held at the James Reid Reception Centre (please enter from the rear parking lot), 1900 John Counter Blvd. on Friday March 24th from 10am - 12pm. If desired, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Breast Cancer Action Kingston.
