Obituary of Malcolm Carter Healy
HEALY, Malcolm (Mac) Carter – Peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Kingston, Ontario at the age of 87. Born in Leominster, Massachusetts on May 29, 1929 to the late Clifford and Constance Healy. Mac was the beloved husband for 63 years of Lois Healy (nee Baxter). Loving father of Richard Healy (Carol) and Thomas Healy (Cathy). Cherished grandfather of Alex Healy and Scott Healy. Predeceased by brother Kenneth. Mac’s career with the City of Kingston spanned 33 years where he served as City Clerk, highly respected at both the municipal and provincial levels. Mac’s love of family and friends, and his engaging and inclusive nature will always be remembered and treasured. Friends and family will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston (613-544-3411,) on Sunday, February 12, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, and 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, February 13, at 11:00 am. Reverend Susan McAllister officiating. Reception to follow in the James Reid Reception Centre.
