Obituary of Rosalyn Estelle Koen

KOEN, Rosalyn Estelle (née Ingoldsby) Peacefully, in her 92nd year, on Monday, January 2, 2017 with her family by her side. Beloved wife of James (deceased) and cherished mother to John, Diane and Rosemary. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Bernadette Ingoldsby, brothers James, Leo, Bernard and Flavian, and dear sisters Alice and Josephine. Rose had a real zest for life. She was a dedicated teacher; beginning in a one room school house at the age of 18, until her retirement from CFB Kingston Base Schools, where she nurtured many friendships. Her keen interest in others, friends and family, travel, bridge and her deep faith sustained her throughout her rich life. The care provided by the staff at St. Lawrence Place for the past four years provided an excellent quality of life for Rose, for which the family is forever grateful. She will be sorely missed by her feline companion Charlie. Family will receive friends at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Friday, January 6, 2017, between the hours of 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at ST.
