Beloved husband of the late Leona Johnston (nee Derby). Loving Father Valerie Reid (Ron) of Curran, Sheila Johnston of Maxville and Hal Johnston (Janice) of Kingston. Cherished grandfather of Tommy Reid (Jody), Jennifer Fraser (Ian), Brent Johnston (Traci) and Mark Johnston, and great-grandfather of Liam Reid, Meaghan Fraser, Reid Fraser, Colby Johnston and Grant Johnston. Dear brother Gordon Johnston (Marlene) of Kingston. Predeceased by brothers Elwood (Hazel), Briton and sister Ruth Fletcher (Norman). Dear son of the late Garfield and Sara Johnston (nee Clemens). Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 11:45am to 12:45pm with the service following in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to University Hospitals Kingston Foundation in Mr. Johnston's memory would be appreciated by the family.
