Mom loved her family deeply, and was their biggest cheerleader in sports, school and everyday life that we will miss dearly. Her bubbly personality, laugh, family meals and gatherings will be remembered fondly. Her latest battle to get a liver transplant was a testament to her strength, determination of her will to live, but sadly was not a reality. We know she wanted to stay with us, and so did her family. The suffering has ended and we will forever cherish our mom, nanny, wife ‘Joanie’.
Thank you to the many Doctors, Nurses, and caregivers of KGH, St. Mary’s and CCAC. If friends so desire, donations can be directed to Martha’s Table in Kingston (www.marthastable.ca) and Shelter House in Thunder Bay (www.shelterhouse.on.ca). As per her wishes, Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held in the summer, in Thunder Bay, TBA.
