ROBINSON, Norman

Passed away peacefully on December 28th at age 86 after a long illness. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Julie, children Tracey and Nigel, and daughter-in-law Margaret Urban. He will be fondly remembered by his life long friends in England, and by family in Germany, Switzerland and Estonia. Norman was born in Sheffield, England, where he trained as an X-Ray Techologist after completing serivce in the British Army. After immigrating to Canada, Norman was a 37 year employee of the Kingston General Hospital Imaging Services Department. In retirement he enjoyed international travel and cruises to places such as Europe, New Zealand, Alaska and the Caribbean. Many thanks are extended to our wonderful and caring friends who have supported our family during Norman’s illness and also to his health care providers including Dr. Wonnacott, Dr. Viola, Dr. Robinson and his Saint Elizabeth’s visiting nurses. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 263 Victoria Street, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Norman’s memory to Canadian Lutheran World Relief or a charity of your choice.
