Obituary of Ellen Margrethe Sorensen

SORENSEN, Ellen Margrethe ”Grethe" (nee Kristensen) - It is with saddened hearts the family announces the passing of Grethe, on Dec. 16, 2016 in her 91st year. Grethe was the beloved wife of the late Kaj, dear mother to the late Elise Kosinski (Tom), Jane, Paul, Peter (Pam), Alan, Susie (Terry), Debbie Podmilschak (Victor), Glenn (Lynn). She will be missed by her many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Grethe was born in Grindsted, Denmark and moved to Canada in 1956. She was a kind and gentle soul who will be remembered by her family and the many friends she made throughout her years of involvement in the Danish Canadian Club of Kingston. Celebration of Life will be held in the JAMES REID RECEPTION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Boulevard (please use rear doors) on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with words of remembrance at 2:30pm. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kingston Salvation Army will be gratefully acknowledged.
