Obituary of Suzanne Elizabeth Parks

PARKS, Suzanne Elizabeth “Sue” Peacefully passed away after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, at the St. Mary’s on the Lake Hospital, Kingston, on December 8, 2016. Sue, loving wife of 38 years to Richard. Proud Mum of Krystin Parks and James Parks and his wife Melanie, and Gramma of their children Olivia and Griffin. Beloved daughter of James Stott (Dee) and the late Rhea. Dear sister of Lisa Stott (Ralph) and Karen Hunter (Kim) and aunt of Heather and Mary Hunter. Cherished daughter-in-law of Pauline Parks and the late Donald. Sue will sadly be missed by the entire Parks family including sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Sue was a dedicated employee of the Federal Government for over 40 years, who’s passion was to aide in developing the careers of many who aspired to follow in her footsteps. Sue’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers of St. Mary’s on the Lake Hospital for the wonderful care that she received. In keeping with Sue’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 10 am – 12pm in the Reception Centre of James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (please use rear parking lot entrance). For those who wish, donations in Sue’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
