Obituary of Barbara Ann Rhodes

RHODES, Barbara Ann- Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, age 74 years. Barbara (nee Charlton), beloved wife of Robert Rhodes (Bob) for 51 years. Loving mother of Steven Rhodes (Mindy) of Kingston and Scott Rhodes of Amherstview. Beloved grandmother of Bradley, Kristina and Kaitlyn and step-grandmother of Kaylea and Dylan. Loving sister of Joan Patterson (William) and Carol Pattenden (Andrew Binnington). Dearly missed by brother-in-law James (Jim) and Margaret Rhodes, as well as nieces and nephews. Barbara is predeceased by her mother Doris Charlton. The family extends sincere gratitude to KGH Emergency and ICU staff, as well as the caregivers at Briargate for their compassion and kindness shown to Barb and her family. In accordance with Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Reception in celebration of Barb's life will be held in the RECEPTION CENTRE OF THE JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, (please enter building from rear parking lot), on Sunday, December 11, 2016 between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Casual attire is requested. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Alzheimer Society in Mrs. Rhodes' memory.
