Obituary of Robert Donald McLean

MCLEAN, Robert 'Bob' June 22, 1934 - November 13, 2016 After a long fight with cancer, our Bob passed away peacefully at his home in Kingston with loved ones by his side. Beloved husband of 58 years to Donna McLean (nee Bentley). Caring father of Janet Wall (David) and their daughters Lindsay Roeper (Charles), Meghan, and Laura (deceased in infancy); Jim McLean (Louise) and their son Wade; and Marla Chadwick (Buff) and their children Maclaine, Daly and Keighan. Bob would have made the proudest great-grandfather to Caeden Roeper who arrived in this world the day Bob passed away. Pre-deceased by parents Stewart & Luella, and siblings Doug, Gloria and Wallace. The family extends sincere gratitude to all his caregivers from CBI, St. Elizabeth Health Care, the Cancer Centre, as well as his palliative care team of doctors and nurses. Family and friends will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston, on Thursday, November 17 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and prior to the service on Friday, November 18 from 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay, ON. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or C.N.I.B., in Bob's memory.
