Obituary of Douglas Faires

FAIRES, Douglas- Peacefully at Providence Manor in Kingston, on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Carol. Dear father of Tamara (David) Harrison, Christine (Les) Mason and Charlene (Shaun) Wisteard. Loving grandfather of Michael, Nicole, Sarah and Erin. Doug was predeceased by his parents Charles and Flo Faires, sister-in-law Jean and brothers-in-law Marvin, Ron and Luigi. Survived by his sister Mary Lou (Paul) Watson, sisters-in-law Marie O'Neill and Betty Sine. Doug's family extend sincere gratitude to all of the caregivers at Providence Manor for the compassion and kindness provided to him. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Friday, October 21 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until 10:50 am, and following the service during a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre. Doug's urn will be interred at Christ Church Cemetery during a private family gathering. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to UHKF (Providence Care, Hildegarde Centre), St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sydenham, or a charity of your choice.
