Obituary of Margaret Janice Lyons

LYONS, Margaret Janice (Cox) December 14, 1949 - October 13, 2016 Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, Richard; her dearest daughter Danielle and her wonderful husband Jason, and her most precious granddaughter Jolene Silver. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Geneva Cox and brother Allen Veley. Survived by brothers, Ronald and Reginald Veley and sister, Darlene Walker. Also missed by numerous relatives and friends. Margaret was a person who spoke her feelings freely. She was open minded and honest and felt everyone deserved to share their own views. Most importantly, she loved her home and family….family came first! Her wealth was not monetary, but rather her many friends and family. She danced to her own tune but it was one we all could follow if we wished. May God keep her safe in His arms. Many thanks to the staff of Davies 3 (CSU) and Kidd 2 (ICU) at Kingston General Hospital, as well as Dr. Stephanie Sibley, Carole MacGillivray, Social Worker and Christine from Child Life Service for their support. Visitation at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard on Sunday, October 16 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday, October 17 at 2 pm. Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery will be followed by a reception in the James Reid Reception Centre. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, in Mrs. Lyons' memory.
