Obituary of Alice Beskers

1931-2021

Aaltje (Alie) Beskers peacefully passed away with her husband of 65 years Johan (Hans) Beskers by her side at the Helen Henderson Care Centre on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the age of 89. Remembered always by her children; Millie Beskers (Paul), John Beskers (Theresa) and predeceased by daughter Patti Schell (1990). Oma will be missed by her grandchildren; Jami, Nicole, Mariah, and Kaiden.

Alie, born in Deventer, Netherlands, later moved to Canada with her husband and children who settled in Amherstview. Alie worked at the Ontario Hospital and the St. Joseph Regional House as a nurse but her true passion was painting which she was often found doing during her free time.

In keeping with Alie’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the James Reid Funeral Home and a private family service will be held when restrictions are lifted.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be kindly appreciated to the Addictions and Mental Health Services of KFL&A or Helen Henderson Care Centre in Alie’s memory.
