from Bill's sister Charlene
Bill is my older brother by 21 months. We were a team growing up. It was us and then the boys (younger 4 brothers ) Bill was the most intelligent person I ever knew and so very funny and witty. When we reminisced together he could make me laugh so hard,I could hardly breathe. Often one of us would start on an old memory and the other knew right away where it was going. I remember once I was laughing so hard I ended up lying on the floor in stitches.
Bill was a sensitive man but hid it fairly well until he got older. When he talked about his grandchildren it was evident how much he loved being with them. Oh boy did he love them!!!!
When Bill's and my children were younger we would always visit back and forth. Daniel and Jessica were great friends with my older two Sarah Anne and Katherine. My heart breaks for Daniel and Jessica in a special way. I do remember the pain when my father died suddenly at approximately the same age as Bill. I surround you both with my love and blessings.
And Mary was Bill's special blessing, wife and best friend. Mary, I thank you for loving Bill so much and enriching his life to the fullest. My husband Richard and I shared happy birding times with Bill and Mary. I always remember the wonder on Bill's face spotting a new bird. Once while they were visiting us in Florida, we took Bill and Mary to a landfill birding site. The sitings were ok until we drove around a corner and we spotted a bald eagle, then another until we had 7 balds flying over and almost dive-bombing us; for Birders this was heaven !!!! Bill, you have a great view where you are now, spot some for us. You were a huge piece of my life that is now empty and will remain that way. I love you Bill, but then you already knew that.
Mary, we love you and are here with our arms open.
love Charlene
