Obituary of Shirley Marie Markland

MARKLAND, Shirley Marie
Entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, October 17, 2020.  Shirley Markland, of Kingston, in her 87th year, beloved wife of 60 years to William (Al) Elvin Markland who predeceased her in 2014.  Dear mother of Debra Balderson, Linda Eves (Sonny) and Blair Markland, all of Kingston.  Predeceased by son Larry Markland (Karen Timmins).  Remembered fondly by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Predeceased by her siblings.  The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of Connell 10 at KGH for the care and compassion provided to Shirley. Funeral arrangements in the care of James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston.  Shirley's family gathered privately at Cherry Valley Cemetery in Prince Edward County for a graveside service which was officiated by Pastor Heidi De Jonge.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Humane Society in Mrs. Markland's memory.
