Obituary of Joshua Siegfried Pietzarka

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Joshua Pietzarka.  Joshua passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 in his 24th year.  Joshua leaves behind his father and mother, Stephan and Tracey, his brother Zachary (Kimberly), his fiancée Haley Hayes, her parents Melanie and Edd Hayes, adopted brother Eric Xu (Zman), his grandparents Allan and Margaret Simpson and Heidi Pietzarka.  He will be sadly missed by several aunts and uncles, including Frank Simpson (Cathy), Diana Pietzarka (Barry), Cornelia Whittaker (Brian) Sieg Pietzarka (Liz) and his cousins, Aileen, Miranda, Jason, Nikki, Cassie and Carter.  Pre-deceased by his Opa Hans Pietzarka and cousin, Dieter Pietzarka.  He will also be sadly missed by his furry brother Mickey, his furry nephew Bowie Pietzarka, his co-worker Corey Campbell, his best friends Jesse Blais, Devon Rines and several others.

Joshua graduated from Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute in June of 2015.  While at secondary school he began working for his father at Universal Garage Ltd. on November 11th, 2010.  Upon graduation, he started his apprenticeship in Automotive Service Technology. He graduated from Loyalist College of Applied Arts & Technology with a Certificate in Automotive Apprenticeship on June 8th, 2018.  He became a fully licensed 310S-Automotive Service Technician along with his Red Seal on September 13th, 2018.  Joshua shared his love of cars with his father.

Joshua was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, fiancée and friend.  He truly cared very deeply for those who were close to him.  He was a very private person.  He looked forward to marrying Haley, starting a family and taking over the family business.  He has left an exceptionally large hole in all of our hearts.  Life will never be the same without him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kingston Humane Society located at 1 Binnington Court, Kingston, ON K7M 8M9.  A celebration of life for Joshua will be held on Sunday, October 4th, 2020.  Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, only those closest to him who have been contacted, may attend. A live stream of the Celebration will be available.
