Obituary of Aaron Ball
With family by his side, Aaron Ball, 42, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of September 13, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Cynthia Arseneau; his children, Oliver and Avery; his parents, Heather Cooke (Bill Forbes) and Closten Ball (Nancy Ralph); and extended family.
Aaron was born June 27, 1978 in Kingston, ON. He graduated in 2001 from Queens University became the first ever Sustainability Manager at Queens, where he built an incredibly strong relationship with the students enabling critical change. He married the love of his life, Cynthia, in October 2006, and was a devoted father to his two young sons. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Affectionately nicknamed Melvin, Aaron valued loyalty and friendship, attending the annual Man Weekend and keeping close contact with his friend group dubbed The Elite Table. Aaron loved reading, writing, brewing the perfect cup of coffee, and Friday night pizza. As a younger man, he travelled the world with his best friend, Luke Fiske, and later enjoyed family trips. When exploring destinations closer to home, Aaron enjoyed driving his latest new vehicle; as he like to tell Cynthia, “Go big, or go home.”
A celebration of life will be held at James Reid Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 16.
