Obituary of Patsy Hayes

Patsy Louise Hayes (nee Maxam)

1950 - 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful and unexpected passing of Patsy on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the age of 69.  Patsy, beloved wife and soulmate of 18 years to Greg.  Loving Mom of Cyndi Brake (Dave), Jen Rogers (Neil), Stephanie McLaren (Cory) and Ryan Hayes (Dodi), and Grandma/Nana of Nick (Leah), Melissa (Rachel), Isabel and Noah; Paige and Lauren; Ashleigh, Laura and Sarah; and Abby and Sammy.  Patsy was predeceased by her parents Eric and Doris Maxam and her brother Richard Maxam.  She will be lovingly remembered by her dear brother Allen Maxam (Marvel), as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and by her beloved dog Shana.

A heart felt thank you is extended to Patsy’s ICU team on Kidd 2 at KGH, including Mario, Julie, Liz, Liz, Korine, Dr. Messenger, and Cathy for treating Patsy like family while in their care.  In keeping with Patsy’s wishes a private family service will be held and a celebration of her life will take place in the near future.  As expressions of sympathy, donations in Patsy’s memory may be made to the Kingston Humane Society.
