Obituary of Jean Matilda Lappan

Jean Matilda Lappan (nee Campbell) passed away suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 in her 83rd year.  Jean, loving mother of Robert Lappan Jr. (Joanne Rogers) and Angela Daley (Mark Daley). Proud Nana of Taylor, Sydney and Skylar Lappan, Brooke Rogers, and Great Nana of Nathan Robert Lappan, and newest addition, Hunter James Campbell Lappan. Jean was predeceased by her father, John Campbell and her mother, Rose Campbell. Cherished sister of Myrtle Tregunna (Bruce Tregunna), Fern Fisher (Lorne Fisher), Joan Fisher, Eldon Campbell (Wendy Campbell), Borden Campbell (Lois Noble), and Garry Campbell (Madeleine Wotherspoon). She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Jean leaves behind countless friends and family who celebrate her presence in their life. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and selfless personality. Jean was an honored Life Member of The Joyceville Women’s Institute and The Frontenac County Plowman’s Association. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the Canadian Mental Health Association.

 

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 15th, from 3 to 5 p.m. for a Drive Up visitation at the James Reid Celebration/Reception Centre at the rear of the funeral home (1900 John Counter Blvd.). No scheduling is required. Parking lot attendants to direct guests and brief on CoVid-19 protocols. No gathering in parking lot will be allowed. Social Distancing rules apply.

 

Due to current CoVid-19 Restrictions, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. The date will be shared later by the family.
