MARTIN, Agatha Ellen
 
On August 23, 2020, at the age of 100, (Agatha) Ellen Martin (nee Livingstone), passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest, Kingston, ON, surrounded by love, with daughters Mary and Margaret by her side.
 
Ellen is predeceased by her parents, Hugh Livingstone and Elizabeth (nee Phillips), siblings Percy, Harold, Arthur and Betty and by her husbands Andrew Robert (Bob) Martin (1975) and Dr. Peter Faulkner (2009).
 
Born in Edmonton, AB, Agatha Ellen grew up in Temiskamingue, QC. As a young adult, she moved to Renfrew, ON, became a teller at the Bank of Montreal, met her husband Bob, and raised Mary and Margaret. Following Bob's death Ellen relocated to Kingston to be closer to Mary and her family. She delighted in time spent with Mary's sons, Matthew and Justin Bonaparte (Angela) and her great grandson Ethan.
 
She was an enthusiastic Duplicate Bridge player, dedicated to her daily Crossword puzzle, and a spirited Scrabble player.
 
Lucky in love for a second time, Ellen married Peter in 1994, and together they continued to pursue her love of world travel.  Until late in life, she continued to enjoy many visits to Margaret's home in Prince Edward County where family often gathered. 
 
The family wishes to thank the staff at Rideaucrest for their care and kindness in Mom's last 6 months.  Many thanks as well to the staff at St. Lawrence Place for their tender support of Mom over the almost 12 years of her residency.
 
Cremation has taken place. Family will gather privately, at a later date, for a graveside service at Thompson Hill Cemetery in Renfrew, ON.
