My wife Marlene and I didn't work with Dennis as much as the 'Westenders' over the many years, but enjoyed his deadpan humour in our social gatherings as well as during stressful work situations. Always a gentleman and a professional with a good quip at the ready. Our deep condolences to his family and especially his mother that he regularly visited. May he rest in peace. I met Dennis when he joined the West-End unit at Digital many years ago. We spent nights working together and relieving each other. He became my lunch buddy. We had many serious conversations and I got to know him well. He was very proud of his family and his Japanese heritage. We golfed together here and then we decided to do golf weeks in Myrtle Beach with the guys. It was a lot of laughs and great fun. Dennis and I shared a room so there was always a race to see who would fall asleep first. It was usually me. I knew that Dennis snored but apparently so did I. When Dennis decided to retire, I was happy for him and a little jealous at the same time. Dennis was very proud of his new home in Sydenham surrounded by nature. He enjoyed his retirement, travelling and sailing. Dennis always made time to get together when he was in town. Dennis was a great guy and will be terribly missed! Rest in Peace my friend! Andy

Dennis was a good friend. I worked with him for many years at Digital, Compaq and HP, but my fondest memories were our ski trips together. Mont Tremblant, Ellicottville and Bolton Valley to name a few. We also played a lot of golf together, followed by a few beers and much of storytelling. Always a good time. Dennis had a great sense of humor and could always make me laugh, and was a real interesting guy to talk to. I visited Dennis and Nancy a few years back in Sydenham, and Dennis was showing me the new garage he was building. He was a man of many talents. He will be missed.

I worked with Dennis at DEC for 30 years or so and he was a great guy.. Always willing to help out and pitch in. We were longtime members of what we referred to as "WESTVAX UNIT" The first time i remember meeting Dennis we were both in a meeting saying that we could not work on the weekend because our kids were in a hockey tournament... We looked at each other and became fast friends as hockey dads... R.I.P Dennis!!!
