PHELAN, Mona
July 8, 1924 - June 20, 2020
It is with regret that we announce the death of Mona in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Donald T. Phelan. Survived by daughters Alma (Allen Stewart), Marion (Bob Landon) and son Frank (Betty Holthaus). She leaves four grandchildren: Clark, Jay, Jonathon and Jennifer and eight great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Bruce, Cody, Cooper, Isaac, Jackson, Lily and Marcus. Survived by sister Jean Flowers of U.K., and predeceased by siblings Harold and Freda.
Funeral arrangements in the care of JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Boulevard). There will be no visitation. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at ST. JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH (392 Palace Rd.) on Wednesday, June 24 at 10:30 am. Monsignor Joseph Lynch celebrating. The family will gather privately at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery for the Rite of Committal with Prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations, if desired, may be made to the charity of their choice.
Mandatory COVID 19 protocols are as follows: Attendance at the church will be limited to 30 % of normal capacity. Physical distancing shall be adhered to both in the church parking lot and inside St. Joseph's Church. Wearing of face masks will be required. Should you not have a mask, one will be supplied for you by the funeral home. Contact tracing will be administered by funeral home staff.
