Obituary of Rhonda Jean Monette

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we regretfully announce the passing of Rhonda Jean Monette, aged 61, of Kingston, ON. On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Kingston General Hospital. Rhonda's journey began in Kenora, where she entered the world on October 1, 1962, to Patricia Fisher. She attended high school at Frontenac Secondary School, and graduated in 1979. She subsequently attained a degree in Graphic Design from St. Lawrence College. For nearly twenty years, Rhonda served as a Senior Graphic Designer for Queen's University. A woman of unwavering determination with a spirited personality, Rhonda effortlessly captivated all who encountered her. Her magnetic charm and vivacity created lasting impressions. Above all, she had a mission to bring joy and laughter to others. Her boundless generosity, kindness, and infectious enthusiasm will forever linger in our memories. Rhonda's selflessness was unparalleled; she readily dropped everything to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her legacy of benevolence shall endure. In her final years, Rhonda devoted herself to caring for her late mother, Patricia. When not extending her compassion, she found solace in pursuits like motorcycle rides, dancing, horseback riding, and bringing happiness to those around her. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Kristen, along with her sister, Maria, and brother, Jim. She also leaves behind her adored nieces, Jen and Teri, and her faithful feline companion, Romy. Rhonda is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, and her brother, Mark. Rhonda's departure leaves an immense void in the lives of her loved ones and the community she touched. The impact of her presence will be felt for generations to come. In honor of Rhonda's remarkable life, a Celebration of Life will be held at 10 Grenville Crescent on Friday, July 21, from 4 pm to 7 pm. We extend an open invitation to all whose lives were graced by Rhonda's presence to join us in commemorating her legacy.
